I graduated from Indiana University with undergraduate degrees in business, interior design and studio art with an emphasis on painting. After several years in a corporate career, my passion for art led me to enroll at the Rhode Island School of Design, where I received a MA in Art Education in 2001.
Since then, I have developed my artistic and educational skills by teaching art in public schools in Connecticut and Northern Virginia. I relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah in 2009 and currently teach art at Dilworth Elementary.
When I am not teaching I actively pursue painting and jewelry design inspired by natural landscapes and human forms. I spend as much time as possible in nature and traveling to outdoor destinations, finding them a means of continual inspiration.
